For my master’s in Mathematical Engineering, I wrote a thesis on the control of laser-powered drones. I collaborated with the Leuven-based startup, Skygrids. I was always interested in control, and how it can be general enough to work with systems ranging from micrometers (temperature control on a microchip) to kilometers (nuclear power plants). Planning a thesis with different stakeholders was a challenge, but I was happy with the result, combining my thesis with AFT and Neurotech.
